Masha experimented with Kodak 250D and Ilford HP5.
Kodak 250D is a daylight cine film with soft color rendering and natural tones, especially in the shadows. When pushed one stop, it gave Masha stronger contrast and a light grain, while still preserving the cinematic depth of the image.
Ilford HP5 is a classic black-and-white film with expressive grain and wide exposure latitude. Masha used it for more intuitive shooting — where it was important to capture mood and light without being distracted by color. The contrast between the two films became her way of exploring different emotional tones within the same scene.
