About

“My Places” is a photography course about personal connection with urban space — and how our feelings, memories and inner states are manifested through the city. We will explore how different places influence our feelings, memories and behavior, and how our own experiences change the perception of the city. Through photography and psychogeographic practices, participants will learn to observe space and their own reactions to it more closely. We will change our usual routes, look for special places, work with chance, memory and personal associations.

Each participant will create their own photo series and try to express their view of the city, their own feelings and experience of interacting with space through photography: what attracts attention, which places evoke emotions, what remains in memory and how urban space can reflect our inner state.

The course will combine lectures on photography and psychogeography, practical tasks, city research, group discussions and work on your own photo project, which will be presented at the final exhibition.
