About

Can you tell a story on screen through dance — or even just through everyday movements from real life? How do you show an emotion with the body alone — without words, only through movement and body language? How do you work with the camera so that the dance looks great and better serves the story?

In the Film & Dance Lab course, we’ll learn how to shoot short dance films — where to find ideas and how to develop a story; how to use space and the camera; and what helps you work with the body on screen.

When: Sundays, from November 15 to December 28

Time: 14:00–15:30 Kyiv time

Format: online

Ages: 14–20
Language of instruction: Russian

Final event: screening of participants’ short films

What’s inside:

– Memory, gesture, and personal story

– Working with space and camera

– Combining word, movement, and image

– Basics of editing and visual storytelling

– Creating your own short film (2–3 minutes)

This course is for you if:

– You want to tell stories in a new way

– You feel that movement and dance are ways to express yourself

– You love cinema and creative experimentation

– You want to create your own film, from idea to final cut
